Florida officials took over the probe of the deaths of two horses who fell after the same race at Hialeah Park, but authorities agreed there seemed to be nothing unusual about the deaths themselves.
Preliminary indications were that 5-year-old Our Zanzibar died of a heart attack and 4-year-old Albert Glory died of lung hemorrhage minutes after they crossed the finish line after a race Monday at Hialeah, the day before the track was to close for the season.
