More than 120 American survivors of the battle for Guadalcanal are expected this weekend at a Stardust Hotel reunion that will commemorate the battle that marked the first U.S. land offensive of World War II. The meeting was organized by the Guadalcanal Campaign Veterans, a national organization composed of veterans from the Army, Marines, Navy and Coast Guard.
