Steve Cruz of Fort Worth, Tex., ninth-ranked featherweight, will fight Ireland’s Barry McGuigan in a June 23 World Boxing Assn. title bout at Caesars Palace. Cruz (25-1) replaces Argentina’s Fernando Sosa, who withdrew because of two detached retinas.
