A memorial service was conducted at CIA headquarters for William Buckley, the intelligence agency official who died in captivity as a hostage in Lebanon more than two years ago. “It’s mainly for family and friends and agency people who knew him,” said Sharon Foster, a CIA spokeswoman. Buckley’s name also will be added to a list, featured at the entrance of the headquarters in McLean, Va., of CIA employees who have died in the line of service. Buckley, the agency’s Beirut station chief, was seized by kidnapers early in 1984. His body has not been recovered.
