William Ross has been named manager of the Advanced Marketing and Technology Division created recently by Silicon General Inc.’s Semiconductor Group in Garden Grove. The new division of the San Jose-based company was formed to design and manufacture custom and semicustom integrated circuits for the automotive and computer peripheral industries.
Charles Thompson, vice president and general manager of the company’s Semiconductor Group, said the new division will not require a substantial increase in Silicon General’s 200-member work force in Garden Grove.
