Derek Jones, a forward on the Cal State Fullerton basketball team, remained hospitalized with gunshot wounds and police reported little progress in finding the gunman in his attack.
A spokesman for St. Mary’s Hospital in Long Beach, said Jones, who was wounded in the back, chest and left arm, was in serious condition.
Jones was outside his home Sunday night when he was shot. Police described him as an “innocent bystander” in what was probably a drug-related shooting.
