This city is one of the 10 best-mannered communities in America, according to an etiquette expert.
Pasadena ranked 10th in the third annual list compiled by Marjabelle Young Stewart, based on her own cross-country travels and a poll of about 100 service industry workers such as taxi drivers and restaurant owners.
The gentleness of its residents makes Charleston, S.C., the best-mannered city in America, said Stewart, the author of 15 books on etiquette. “They really make tourists feel welcome.”
Other cities in the top 10 are Seattle, Oklahoma City, Detroit, Minneapolis, Washington, Philadelphia, New York City and Kansas City, Mo.
