‘No Politics in AIDS Education’
People want to know as much information as they possibly can about what will increase longevity and what will end their existence.
Gov. George Deukmejian (“No Politics in AIDS Education,” Editorial, Aug. 30) is about to veto a bill concerning AIDS information for students. This must not happen!
Knowing about contracting AIDS from unsafe sex, drug use and blood transfusions won’t make our children run out and become gay anemic drug addicts. It will warn them about AIDS and its many sources.
Our children will make decisions on their own, without our consent. They, like us at their age, always have.
Let’s help give them the information they need to make an educated decision. Gov. Deukmejian, don’t blow this one!
