Man Struck, Killed Running Across I-5

An unidentified man was struck and killed late Friday when he tried to run across the freeway in San Ysidro. The California Highway Patrol said the man was hit at 8:21 p.m. when he ran out onto northbound Interstate 5, just south of San Ysidro Boulevard. A San Diego County Coroner’s spokesman said no identification of the man was available late Friday.
