Labor Day to Bring Respite From the Office, Sunshine

Most public offices and many businesses will be closed Monday, which is Labor Day.
Forecasters are promising wonderful weather through Monday great for all the usual San Diego pastimes: sailing, swimming and sunning.
The San Diego Public Information Office suggests checking with recreation centers and pools in your neighborhood for their operating hours on Labor Day.
All city lakes will be open except for Barrett. Lake Murray will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for fishing and El Capitan, Miramar, Otay, Sutherland and Hodges will be open from sunrise to sunset for fishing. San Vicente will be open for water-skiing from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Federal, state, county and city offices, courts, post offices, public libraries, banks and the stock exchange will all be closed Monday.
City trash collections will not be made on Monday, and will be made one day late the rest of the week.
