There Is No Excuse for Dodgers, Whatsoever

I read Scott Ostler’s column with both amusement and scorn. (What’s he trying to do? Win friends and influence people?)

The truth is that the Dodgers are a third-rate team of great mediocrity. Wimps! And there’s no excuse. They’re on the skids, like education and technology. The gloves they use are a disgrace. And still they can’t catch.

How the old-timers would have hooted. It’s a pretty boring game when the fans bring along beach balls to while away their tedium. Still, I know it’s better than guns.
