Hollywood redevelopment has been a scandal from the beginning. Despite numerous calls from developers and the threat of eminent domain (for 30 years!), many of us want to remain in Hollywood and keep the character of our neighborhood intact. The Los Angeles Board of Education with its power of eminent domain is already set to demolish seven historically significant homes on our block. But then that’s another scandal.
