Chatsworth Imaging Firm Reports Smaller Loss

International Remote Imaging Systems in Chatsworth reported its revenues increased 123% while its losses narrowed slightly for the six months ended June 30. Revenue was $2.9 million compared to $1.3 million in the year earlier period. The company said it lost $498,000, or 3 cents a share, compared to a loss of $793,000, or 5 cents a share, a year earlier.
IRIS makes urinalysis work stations used by hospitals and commercial laboratories. The company attributed the revenue increase to the sale of 19 work stations during the first half of 1987.
