An unidentified Bakersfield service station attendant was fatally shot in the back with a shotgun as he tried to flee during a 3 a.m. holdup, police said. Police, following witnesses’ descriptions, arrested a suspect after a car chase that ended when the suspect’s car rammed a police vehicle on a dead-end street. The suspect, identified as Steven Bradley, 24, of Bakersfield, was booked on suspicion of murder and armed robbery.
