A 22-year-old inmate was critically wounded after being stabbed about 15 times at the Men’s Central Jail, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies reported. They said Augustine Villegas, who was being held on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon against a police officer, was found lying on the floor of a cell area. Officers were unable to find the weapon.
