Leland C. Brendsel, who has been acting head of the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corp. (Freddie Mac) for the past two years, was named to the permanent posts of president and CEO, reporting to Chairman M. Danny Wall.
Brendsel had been acting president of Freddie Mac since September, 1985, when Kenneth J. Thygerson departed.
