Blowers Just Move Dirt Around

Leaf blowers should be eliminated. . . . About all they accomplish is to move the dust around from one area to another. You must be sure to close all your apartment or house doors and windows or your residence will require a complete clean-up operation. Because of a hearing problem caused by being exposed to high-speed printing presses for about 40 years, I have a noise meter. Recently, traffic on Rosemead Boulevard measured between 60 and 70 decibels. My readings for leaf blowers were about 80 decibels at 50 feet and 95 decibels at 10 feet. A large jet overhead was 62 decibels.
