Sports, cultural and crafts programs will be offered at Carr and Fitz intermediate schools in Santa Ana this fall by the Sugar Ray Robinson Youth Foundation.
Under its juvenile delinquency prevention program, the foundation will begin its football and volleyball leagues at both schools.
The semester will also include field trips, guest speakers and seasonal celebrations. All Sugar Ray members will be encouraged to participate in a personal-development workshop to prepare them for the foundation’s annual variety show.
The free program will continue through the school year. Students need not be enrolled at the host schools to participate.
