UNIFIL Soldier Killed in Accident

BEIRUT — A French U.N. soldier has died after shooting himself while cleaning his firearm, a spokesman for the U.N. Interim Force in Lebanon said on Wednesday.
The spokesman said the young soldier was based in Naqoura, just north of the Israeli border, and that the incident on Monday was apparently an accident.
