General Up for Promotion

WASHINGTON — President Reagan has nominated Maj. Gen. Edwin J. Godfrey for promotion to lieutenant general and commander of Marine Corps forces in the Pacific, the Pentagon said Wednesday. He will replace Lt. Gen. D’Wayne Gray, who is retiring.
