The first phase of improvements at Dockweiler Beach recreational vehicle park has been completed, according to Supervisor Dean Dana.
The park now has hookups for water and electricity as well as sewage disposal connections, asphalt paving and additional lighting for security. A second phase of improvements, scheduled to be completed later this year calls for construction of restrooms, showers and a laundry room. A second structure will house offices and meeting rooms.
The five-acre park, on the Santa Monica Bay at Vista del Mar Boulevard and Imperial Highway, has space for 118 recreational vehicles and is open all year. The cost is $17 a night for sites with water and electricity hookups and $10 a night for sites without hookups. People interested in staying at the park should call (213) 322-5008.
