The city councils of Irwindale, Duarte and Azusa will meet next week to discuss economic opportunities for the three cities in the wake of the proposed Los Angeles Raiders’ move to Irwindale. Council members said they will also discuss coordinating efforts to assure that the team’s move is successful. Since the Raiders and Irwindale reached a preliminary agreement to build a stadium near Duarte and Azusa, the cities have been contacted by developers seeking sites for hotels, restaurants and shopping centers.
