El Cajon police have arrested a man suspected of setting fire to six vehicles and a vacant building, a department spokesman said.

Randy Dean Mann, 28, of El Cajon was booked in County Jail on Friday suspicion of seven counts of arson.

Twenty firefighters from El Cajon and Santee were called to the 200 block of E. Main Street shortly after midnight Friday and found a building engulfed in flames. An estimate of the loss was not available and no injuries were reported, a spokeswoman for the El Cajon Fire Department said.

Two hours later, police and firefighters were called to Peach Street, where six vehicles appeared to have been set on fire. Three of the vehicles were destroyed and two were moderate damaged, a police spokesman said.
