SAN DIEGO — San Diego High School suffered a 24-14 loss to visiting Marian Friday night but may have come away with a first in San Diego County history.
Mia Labovitz, a junior playing in her first varsity football game, kicked the two extra points for San Diego.
Marian rallied in the second half to win, going ahead to stay on a one-yard run by Malcolm Brown late in the third quarter.
Tony Bowen scored San Diego’s touchdowns on runs of one and two yards, and Labovitz kicked the extra points.
