Joe Wortmann is not surprised that his Newbury Park High girls volleyball team is undefeated after four nonleague matches.
“We’re playing good volleyball,” the Panther coach said. “This team has been three years in the making to get to this point.”
Senior Tracy Krenkler recorded four of Newbury Park’s 19 service aces to lead the Panthers to a 15-4, 15-11, 15-5 win Friday in a nonleague match at Louisville.
With Louisville leading, 4-0, in the first game, Krenkler served eight straight points to put Newbury Park ahead.
