Police Clock Queen’s Kin at 103 M.P.H.

NEWBURY, England — Queen Elizabeth II’s son-in-law, Capt. Mark Phillips, was ordered today to appear in court on a charge of speeding at more than 100 m.p.h.
Phillips, 38, husband of Princess Anne, admitted in writing that he broke the speed limit while driving his Rover down the M-4 highway toward London. Police said his speed was clocked at 103.6 m.p.h. The maximum in Britain is 70 m.p.h.
