Marantz Sells Pianocorder Division to Japanese Firm

Marantz, the Chatsworth consumer electronics firm, sold its Pianocorder Division for an unspecified amount to Nippon Gakki Co. Ltd.
Dynascan, a Chicago electronics firm that bought Marantz last February for $14 million, said the proceeds from the sale will help pay off debt and will lower its effective purchase price of Marantz to $11 million.
