Burbank-based Walt Disney Co. elected as a director Stanley P. Gold, president, CEO and a director of Shamrock Holdings Inc., a company owned by the Roy E. Disney family. Gold succeeds Charles E. Cobb Jr., who resigned to become U.S. assistant secretary of commerce for trade development.
