Pasadena dentist Dr. Douglas Dustin was arrested in the shooting death of his estranged wife in front of her La Jolla apartment, police said. Dustin, 52, surrendered to Covina police and was turned over to San Diego homicide investigators. Officers said Adelheid Dustin, 50, was chased from her apartment by a man who shot her several times, including once in the head at close range.
