Three suspected guerrillas of the outlawed African National Congress were killed in a running gun battle over the weekend with security forces near the border with Zimbabwe, the South African military command said. It added that the security forces, which reported no casualties, seized Soviet-made automatic rifles and other weapons. Two other guerrillas were arrested after trying to infiltrate South Africa from Botswana, military officials added. The ANC is fighting to end white-minority rule in South Africa.
