NABLUS, Occupied West Bank — Israeli troops today shot and killed a 12-year-old boy and wounded another Arab at a refugee camp, and furious Palestinians responded by stoning soldiers, an Arab news agency reported.
A military official said troops fired at Arab protesters in two separate clashes at Balata refugee camp, wounding one demonstrator, while Defense Minister Yitzhak Rabin toured nearby Nablus in the occupied West Bank. After the clashes an Arab boy was reported killed, but it was not clear how he died, added the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity.
