The Museum of Broadcasting in New York is looking for a few good (old) shows--ones that are missing from its large collections. Before the summer, the museum’s search was private and informal. But when the search got tough, the museum went public. It’s now running full-page ads in such industry publications as the Hollywood Reporter, and it got Fuji (a major videotape manufacturer) to underwrite the ad campaign. “It’s going great,” said a spokeswoman. “We haven’t yet found any of the programs”--such as the “I Love Lucy” pilot episode or a tape of the telecast of Super Bowl I in 1967--”but a lot of people are calling with clues.”
