K mart Corp. announced Tuesday that Joseph E. Antonini, the retailer’s president and chief operating officer, will become its chairman and chief executive, succeeding the retiring Bernard M. Fauber. Antonini, 46, who will take office Oct. 1, will continue as president, the Troy, Mich., company said.
