Peruvian Girl Who Had 3 Liver Transplants Dies

PITTSBURGH, Pa. — A 23-month-old Peruvian girl, whose father washed dishes, taught Spanish and did other odd jobs to help finance her surgery, has died a month after receiving her third liver transplant, officials said.
Miguel Luque, an attorney in his native country, and his wife, Martha, were with their daughter, also named Martha, when she died Monday night from infection.
