Pepperdine Women Beat SDSU in Volleyball

Julie Evans had 27 kills Tuesday to lead Pepperdine University to a 15-10, 17-15, 16-14 victory over San Diego State in a women’s volleyball match at Malibu.
Senior Kris Morton and junior Angelica Jackson each had 17 kills for the 11th-ranked Aztecs (2-3). Jackson also had two blocks and Morton had five digs.
Evans, a three-year starter, was the West Coast Athletic Conference player of the week last week. The Waves (2-1) are not ranked.
