Spain’s national equestrian team most likely will be prevented from competing in the 1988 Summer Games at Seoul, South Korea, because of an outbreak of African horse sickness.
Two regional public health official have confirmed that 80 horses in central Spain had died from African horse sickness, believed to have been carried into the country by six South African zebras purchased for a park south of Madrid.
