Avalon : $156,959 for Sewer Plant

The city has received a $156,959 grant from the state Water Resources Control Board to expand its sewer treatment plant’s capacity from 500,000 gallons per day to 1.2 million gallons per day. Federal and state grants are expected to cover about 90% of the $1.5 million cost.
