Honda of North America will significantly expand its U.S. operations by building a second auto assembly plant near the company’s first facility in Marysville, Ohio, a state official said. The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, confirmed published reports that Honda, which has evolved into the fourth-biggest U.S. auto maker, would announce plans today to construct the plant. The Dayton Daily News and Journal Herald reported that other sources also said the plant will be built at the Marysville site and that the announcement will include plans for further Honda expansion near Anna in western Ohio.
