BYOG--or Bring Your Own Gloves--say organizers of cleanup parties Saturday in two wetlands areas.
To launch National Coasts Week), the Amigos de Bolsa Chica and Friends of the Wetlands, two local environmental groups, have organized the outings at the preserves.
Both cleanups will be conducted from 8 a.m. to noon, and volunteers should wear long pants and shoes for the chores, organizers said. Trash bags will be provided.
For the Bolsa Chica Wetlands detail, the group will meet at the parking lot across from the Bolsa Chica ecological reserve entrance at Pacific Coast Highway and Warner Avenue. Information is available at the Amigos office, (714) 897-7003.
For the Huntington Wetlands cleanup, volunteers should park on Magnolia Avenue north of Pacific Coast Highway. More information may be obtained by calling (714) 968-6006.
