A Los Angeles man was killed when his automobile crashed into an RTD bus. Witnesses told police that the man’s compact car was going west on Venice Boulevard at more than 60 m.p.h. at night with its headlights out when it ran a red light at Vermont Avenue and collided with the bus, which was stopped at the curb. The impact pushed the bus 16 feet, and the automobile driver, whose name was not disclosed, was pronounced dead at the scene. Seven of the nine passengers aboard the bus were treated for minor injuries and released. The driver of the bus said he was not injured.
