DETROIT — Henry Ford II, former chairman of Ford Motor Co. and grandson of the auto company’s founder, was listed in serious condition Wednesday with pneumonia, a hospital spokesman said.
Ford, 70, was admitted on Saturday to Henry Ford Hospital here--a facility founded by his grandfather, Henry Ford--from Cottage Hospital in Grosse Pointe, company spokeswoman Mary Joseph said.
Ford retired from the company on Oct. 1, 1982. He remains a member of the board of directors and is chairman of its finance committee, Joseph said.
