Academy Award-winning actor Jimmy Stewart will be the grand marshal for the 56th Hollywood Christmas Parade, parade officials announced.
This will be the actor’s second trip down Hollywood Boulevard as grand marshal. Stewart, 79, who starred in such movies as “It’s a Wonderful Life” and “Mr. Smith Goes to Washington,” led the parade 10 years ago and is the first celebrity to do so twice. Last year’s grand marshals, Mickey and Minnie Mouse, will appear this year as well.
The nighttime parade, which is sponsored by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, will be held on Nov. 29.
