Times Mirror said its cable television subsidiary has had “informal discussions” with United Artists Cable Systems and Tele-Communications about a possible swap of cable TV properties, including those owned by Times Mirror in the Phoenix area. The Los Angeles-based media company, which owns the Los Angeles Times, said the talks have been “preliminary” and no agreement has been reached.
