The trial in Boston of political extremist Lyndon H. LaRouche Jr. on charges of obstructing justice in a credit-card scheme will begin next week despite questions about immunization of eight witnesses, prosecutors said. Prosecutors had told the presiding judge the witnesses refused to testify without a grant of immunity from Acting U.S. Atty. Frank L. McNamara, whose authority to request immunity has been questioned due to his “acting” status. LaRouche will be tried along with seven associates.
