ORANGE COUNTY PREP FOOTBALL : Woodbridge Puts Shutout Clamps on La Quinta, 10-0

Woodbridge High School scored its touchdown in the first quarter and went on to defeat La Quinta, 10-0, at Bolsa Grande High School Friday night.
The Warriors (2-0) went ahead, 7-0, on a six-yard pass from Eric Brougher to Fred Schweer with 4:24 remaining in the quarter.
The only other score came when Keith Boothroyd kicked a 27-yard field goal with 2:07 left in the half. But Boothroyd missed two other field goals, allowing the Aztecs (0-2) to remain within striking distance.
Running back John Rios led Woodbridge with 87 yards in 11 carries, while Brougher completed 8 of 17 passes for 97 yards.
Woodbridge had three interceptions. Jimmy Burke intercepted a pass by Aztec quarterback Trent Julian at the La Quinta 35-yard line with a minute to play to seal the shutout.
Todd Norris and Kris Pallone also had interceptions for the Warriors.
