Bell-Jeff 17, Burbank 14 KEY PLAYS With 51 seconds left in the game, Mike Lattanzio kicked a 28-yard field goal as Bell-Jeff rallied from a 14-7 halftime deficit. Bell-Jeff had driven 62 yards in 16 plays to set up the winning kick. . . . Midway through the third quarter, Bell-Jeff’s Aaron Green scored on a 6-yard touchdown pass from Bob Tumas. Lattanzio’s extra point tied the score, 14-14. . . . At the start of the fourth quarter, Burbank scored an apparent go-ahead touchdown but it was nullified by a holding penalty. . . . Bell-Jeff’s Phil Reynolds scored on an 82-yard run in the first quarter to tie the score, 7-7.
KEY PLAYERS Phil Reynolds (BJ) carried the ball 19 times for 140 yards and 1 touchdown. He also completed 1 of 2 passes for 10 yards. . . . Mike Lattanzio (BJ) kicked two PATs and the winning field goal. . . . Bob Tumas (BJ) completed 6 of 7 passes for 72 yards and 1 touchdown. . . . Tarin Cardenaz (B) had 7 carries for 101 yards and 1 touchdown. . . . Gabe Jiminez (B), who entered the game as the Valley-area’s leading rusher, had 62 yards on 14 carries and 1 touchdown. . . . Anthony Valento (B) completed 4 of 6 passes for 33 yards. . . . Fred Castillo (B) completed 3 of 5 passes for 33 yards.
