Bridgford Foods Corp. of Anaheim continued its 1987 earnings upswing with fiscal third-quarter net income of $335,166, more than three times the $92,636 reported during the same period a year ago. Sales for the quarter ended July 31 rose to $13.3 million from $12.8 million in 1986.
For the nine months, net income totaled $1.2 million, contrasted with $331,459 in the year-earlier period. Sales increased to $41.6 million from $39.9 million.
A company spokesman said the earnings increase is attributable to a more favorable operating environment, including lower commodity prices. Bridgford manufactures refrigerated, frozen and snack food products.
