He’s A Saros secured an invitation to the closing--day Pomona Invitational with a 3 1/2--length victory in the $53,500 Phil D. Shepherd Stakes Saturday at Fairplex Park in Pomona.
The 4--year--old gelding covered the 1 1/16 miles in 1:44 4/5.
He’s A Saros, trained by Joseph Manzi, returned $15.40, $7.60 and $5.40. Don B. Blue paid $7.60 and $5.20.
