Canucks Beat Kings in Exhibition, 2-1

VICTORIA, Canada — Ron Stern scored on a short shot from the right side with 12:15 remaining Saturday night to give the Vancouver Canucks a 2-1 exhibition victory over the Kings before a crowd of 4,257 at Victoria Memorial Arena.
The victory was the Canucks’ second in two nights over the Kings. Jimmy Carson scored the Kings’ only goal on a power play at 9:29 of the first period.
The Kings’ starting goalie, Al Jensen, stopped 15 shots and held the Canucks scoreless in the 29:19 he played.
