Federation Head Named: Merv Lemmerman has been named executive director of the Jewish Federation of Orange County and will assume the position on Oct. 1. Lemmerman, 59, of Lakewood has been interim chief operating officer of the federation since November, 1986, when he assumed the duties of former Executive Director Gerald Lasensky. Lemmerman also served as executive director of the Jewish Federation Council of Greater Los Angeles from 1979 through late 1986. He has also been on the faculty of the management program at the University of Judaism and at the Hebrew Union College School of Jewish Communal Service. Lemmerman is a longtime resident of Lakewood.
